Der Großmann

Have you seen Der Großmann? Or translated from German, The tall man.

But he is well know as The Slender Man!

The Slender Man is a being male in appearance who looks like a man with extremely long, slender arms and legs.
He also appears to have 4 to 8 long, black tentacles that protrude from his back, though different photographs and enthusiasts disagree on this fact, and therefore it is theorized he can 'contract' these tentacles at will.
He is described as wearing a black suit strikingly similar to the visage of the notorious Men In Black, and as the name suggests, appears very thin and able to stretch his limbs and torso to inhuman lengths in order to induce fear and ensnare his prey.


Once his arms are outstretched, his victims are put into something of a hypnotized state, where they are utterly helpless to stop themselves from walking into them.
He is also able to create tendrils from his fingers and back that he uses to walk on. Whether he absorbs, kills, or merely takes his victims to an undisclosed location or dimension is also unknown as there are never any bodies or evidence left behind in his wake to deduce a definite conclusion.

His face is pale and slightly ghostly, and almost appears to have been wrapped in a type of gauze or cloth. his facial features are also an object of debate, and many people believe that his face looks different to each person, if it is seen at all. He often keeps his long, pale hands crossed politely behind his back or hanging loosely at his sides.



The slender man was a man who was beat with a log, stabbed with a 2 foot stick, and hung from a tree with his arms, hands, legs, and feet all pulled out of sockets.

The legend is that in the daytime the slender man will most likely show up in open areas with trees to the side of an open, empty road, or in the woods or any area filled with trees.
Most reports from survivors of the slender man say at night he shows up in open windows, dark open rooms, blank TV screens, and in large crowds of people.
The slender man only kills kids younger then 16.
There are ways to toy with him, but you may be risking your own death. His arms, legs, fingers, and toes will stretch so that he is up to 34 feet tall with a bone breaking sound.
If he appears to you, turn away! He has the power to control your body.
When you wake up, you will be tied up laying down in the woods where he was killed. A 547 pound log will be hanging over your head. He will ask you a question.
If you get the answer right, he will break both your arms and legs. If you get it wrong he will slowly stick his fingers down your neck and pulls out you heart.

He also has been reported seen with large groups of children, as many photographs portray. It is commonly thought that he resides in woods and forests and preys on children. He seems unconcerned with being exposed in the daylight or captured in photos.

It is often thought as well that he enjoys stalking people who become overly paranoid about his existence, purposefully giving them glimpses of himself in order to further frighten them. For this reason, it seems like Slenderman very much enjoys psychologically torturing his victims.
He also often appears to float or drift around rather than walk, which suggest the possibility of him being an ethereal being rather than a creature or a man. This would also explain why he is able to remain mobile in spite of his poorly proportioned body.

Even though Slender Man was fabricated on `SomethingAwful` forums (or was he?), some people have already claimed sightings. He is seen mostly at night peering into open windows and walks out in front of lone motorists on secluded roads. His main intentions appear to be kidnapping children, as when he is seen near them in photographs, they usually disappear shortly afterwards. The SlenderMan has also inspired many stories such as those of Marble Hornets.
In the end though, his purpose remains unknown.



Some other people claim to have seen or heard about the slenderman long before in their lives or in legends dating back to the Medieval period in human history [such as Germanic folklore concerning "Der Großmann " roaming the black forest (Der Schwarzwald) and snatching away children who disobey their parents].

The myth goes on to state that the tall man was possibly a child molester who was strung about the trees as punishment for his crimes. His spirit is said to have survived and continues to prey upon the young.

The “tall man” is generally depicted as an unusually tall (he can grow to different heights; capable of blending in with the trees of a forest) and completely bald figure sporting a business suit with either a red or black tie. He has no eyes, nose, or ears, and has a very wide grin running from one side of his face to the other, or no mouth at all.


The tall man is commonly spotted hiding and lurking about in the fog when stalking his victims. Der Großmann usually befriends his children victims (acting as an imaginary friend of sorts) and is capable of luring them into forests at night with psychokinetic powers. From then on the children walk mindlessly into the branching arms of Der Großmann as he grins at their young faces, never to be seen or heard of again-a fate unknown. Some say these children are eaten, taken to another dimension, or quite possibly worse. Again, the myth varies.

Der Großmann is said to be capable of slowly driving victims to madness, can induce paranoia, give coughing fits to them, and can induce disorientation and dizziness, amnesia, and insomnia.

He is even said to be capable of visiting them in horrendous nightmares that vary from person from person.
Such victims are slowly driven to insanity by Der Großmann and are soon incapable of thought outside the realm of his fear.
This induced insanity is said to weaken victims, making them more susceptible to his control. He loves to toy with his prey before finishing them off.

In some cases victims become mindless minions for Der Großmann, working to bring in more victims to him for his satisfaction. These minions may plant listening devices in your home, follow you around without you being aware of it, and watch over you-even as you sleep.
Some say he can teleport and appear at multiple locations at the same time. In some myths he is able to distort electronic equipment; quite possibly Der Großmann is some electromagnetic entity.

Think you can kill or ambush him? Think again. With his psychokinetic powers Der Großmann can deflect bullets and other objects away from his body before impact. Ambush would also be quite impossible; if you’ve seen Der Großmann it is most likely that he is closely watching you and all of your actions. Failed attempts to strike at Der Großmann with a weapon may be met with him obstructing your nervous system and disabling bodily functions-making it ever more easy for him to finish you off.
 

Again, it is not known exactly what happens once a victim has finally been taken by him. Some say they simply disappear. In more gruesome accounts the victims’ bodies are found impaled on tree limbs with their organs placed throughout their bodies in plastic bags.
The most frightening possible fate may be that Der Großmann extends his fingers to great lengths, punctures the bodies of victims, and destroys every major internal organ they have from within; tying them up from the inside into a great slendery (and bloody) knot.
Remember, the thought of Der Großmann may bring him ever more closer to you. Trying to forget about him will also lead him to you; once you see him there is no turning away from the possibilities of ends which await you.
Those slender shadows you see moving about in the dark of the night or that tall and misshaped tree in the distance may very well be Der Großmann. Waiting…watching…grinning all the while.

Historical references

The Slender Man is an alleged paranormal figure purported to have been in existence for centuries, covering a large geographic area. Believers in the Slender Man tie his appearances in with many other legends around the world, including; Fear Dubh (or, The Dark Man) in Scotland, the Dutch Takkenmann (Branch Man), and the German legend of Der Großmann or Der Grosse Mann (the Tall Man).

The earliest argued reference to the legend is within the cave paintings found in the Serr da Capivara National Park in the Northeast of Brazil, which are believed to date from as far back as 9000 BC. These paintings show a strangely elongated character leading a child by the hand, but make no reference to the extra appendages.







The next known possible reference to the Slender Man comes from around 3100 BC in lower Egypt, with references to the "Thief of the Gods" or the "Thief of Kuk" becoming common place during the reign of Pharaoh Wazner. Hieroglyphic carvings representing the Thief were found in the pharaoh's tomb, who was rumored to have had some kind of encounter with the entity. The carvings resemble a strange figure with multiple upper limbs, one that has never been found in any other hieroglyph language.

Renowned German woodcutter Hans Freckenberg created at least two woodcuts featuring a character he described as Der Ritter (The Knight) during the mid-sixteenth century that were discovered in Halstberg Castle in 1883. Whilst Freckenberg was well-known for his realistic depiction of human anatomy - something that was unusual among woodcuts of the time - these pictures featured a skeletal, multi-limbed character. Historians are unsure of the exact symbolic nature of the character, with some claiming that it is a personification of the religious wars that raged in Europe at the time, while others say it represents the mysterious plagues that have been believed to be the reason for the mysterious abandoning of the Hastlberg Castle and the nearby village in 1543.



However, many insist that Freckenberg was attempting to represent "Der Großmann" (the Tall Man). According to legend, he was a fairy ho lived in the Black Forest. Bad children who crept into the woods at night would be relentlessly chased by Der Großmann, who wouldn't leave them be until he either caught them or they were forced to tell their parents of their wrongdoing.
Even then, there is a chilling account from an old journal, dating from about 1702:

"My child, my Lars… he is gone. Taken, from his bed. The only thing that we found was a scrap of black clothing. It feels like cotton, but it is softer… thicker. Lars came into my bedroom yesterday, screaming at the top of his lungs that "The angel is outside!" I asked him what he was talking about, and he told me some nonsense fairy story about Der Großmann. He said he went into the groves by our village and found one of my cows dead, hanging from a tree. I thought nothing of it at first… but now, he is gone. We must find Lars, and my family must leave before we are killed. I am sorry, my son… I should have listened. May God forgive me."



There is also a Romanian fairytale which tells the legend of the Tall Man, featuring this description which may have taken to refer to the Slender Man
"The tall man stood in a clearing, dressed as a nobleman, all in black. Shadows lay over him, dark as a cloudy midnight. He had many arms, all long and boneless as snakes, all sharp as swords, and they writhed like worms on nails. He did not speak, but made his intentions known,"
In the fairytale, the Tall Man causes a mother to kill her husband and child, before he slid from a fireplace and "clenched her in his burning embrace."

What is the truth?

What makes Der Großmann so fearful is that his existence is questionable.

He may be real…or he may not be.
Perhaps the majority who have encountered the tall man have never lived to tell the tale.

But what is really interesting is the stories trough time and history.
They all talk about the same creature.

It could be a demon acting, taking this from trough time.
Or a guy in suit that drugs people and make them see things.

Most of the pictures are fake, it was even a contest. But what if there was some real?

Maybe we will encounter him one day.

Saw In Real Life

What I loved in the time of Halloween is the release of a new 'Saw' movie.

Not that the movies are amazing good, but they are a fun to watch.
So every year I looked forward to the new release.

But have you ever wondered how it must be in real life?
Being attached to a device that kills you and giving you a certain time to complete a task to save your life

This happened in real life, BEFORE the `Saw` movies!

In a small US town, a phone call to a pizzeria, set in motion a bizarre series of events that culminated in the horrific death of a delivery man...

The call came shortly before 2pm. It was an order for the delivery of two small sausage and pepperoni pizzas to an address that the pizzeria owner Tony Ditomo didn't recognise. He passed the phone to one of his two delivery men, Brian Wells. Wells left the Mama Mia Pizzeria in the Pennsylvania city of Erie soon afterwards, putting the pizzas in his green Chevrolet and setting out for the address the caller had given - 8631 Peach Street. It should have been a five-minute drive.

No one knows precisely what happened next, who was involved and even whether Wells had any inkling of what was about to transpire. But the call to the pizzeria that August afternoon last year set in motion a bizarre series of events that would lead to Wells's death in the most horrifying of circumstances and leave an unsettling and frightening mystery lingering over this small lakeside city.

That afternoon, on 28 August, Wells never returned to the pizzeria. He was next seen at 2.38pm when he walked into the PNC Bank in the nearby suburb of Summit Township. He waited patiently in line, and when he got to the teller he pulled up his T-shirt to reveal a homemade bomb apparently locked round his neck. He handed the teller a note informing her that he wanted $250,000  in cash. He said the bomb would detonate in 22 minutes.

Wells, 46, a single man who lived alone with his cats in a rented flat near the pizzeria, left the bank soon afterwards with a bag of notes, having told the teller he could return later to collect the remainder. He got into his car and drove to a nearby McDonald's restaurant, where he dropped the bag near the sign for the drive-through window.


He then set off again, hurrying to beat the clock. A few minutes later, state police - alerted by the bank - surrounded Wells's car and ordered him out. Compliant, he sat on the road, leaning against the front of his car, and raised his T-shirt to show them the crude bomb. As a local TV news team filmed the drama, Wells insisted to the police that he was not a willing accomplice to the plot. "This is not me," he could be heard saying. "It's going to go off. I'm not lying."


He wasn't lying. At 3.18pm, three minutes before the bomb squad arrived, the device around Wells's neck exploded, killing him.

The most perplexing and intriguing pieces of evidence, though, were the handwritten notes that investigators found inside Wells’ car. Addressed to the “Bomb Hostage,” the notes instructed Wells to rob the bank of $250,000, then follow a set of complex instructions to find various keys and combination codes hidden throughout Erie. It contained drawings, threats, and detailed maps.
If Wells did as he was told, the instructions promised, he’d wind up with the keys and the combination required to free him from the bomb.
Failure or disobedience would result in certain death. “There is only one way you can survive and that is to cooperate completely,” the notes read in meticulous lettering that would later stymie handwriting analysis. “This powerful, booby-trapped bomb can be removed only by following our instructions… ACT NOW, THINK LATER OR YOU WILL DIE!” It seemed that whoever planned the robbery had also constructed a nightmarish scavenger hunt for Wells, in which the prize was his life.



The police began sorting through a trove of physical evidence. In Wells’ car, they discovered the 2-foot-long cane, which turned out to be an ingeniously crafted homemade gun.




The bomb itself was likewise a marvel of DIY design and construction. The device consisted of two parts: a triple-banded metal collar with four keyholes and a three-digit combination lock, and an iron box containing two 6-inch pipe bombs loaded with double-base smokeless powder. The hinged collar locked around Wells’ neck like a giant handcuff.
Investigators could tell that it had been built using professional tools. The device also contained two Sunbeam kitchen timers and one electronic countdown timer. It had wires running through it that connected to nothing—decoys to throw off would-be disablers—and stickers bearing deceptive warnings. The contraption was a puzzle in and of itself.

Wells’ clothing added another layer of intrigue.
He died wearing two T-shirts, the outer one emblazoned with a Guess clothing logo.
Wells wasn’t wearing the shirt at work that morning, and his relatives said it wasn’t his.
It appeared to be a taunt: Can you guess who is behind this?




What is the truth?

This is a true story.
The investigation is still  on.
I thought they never really found who did it.

But I really hope they never do it again. This must be a horrible situation.

Also there is a comedy made, based on these events.
"30 Minutes or Less" is a comedy movie about a pizza delivery guy who gets kidnapped and placed a bomb on his body. He have to rob a bank in a certain time, or the bomb will explode.
The movie looks innocent, but not so funny anymore if you know it really happened with a bad ending.

Belgium UFO Wave

I would say this is one of the most bizarre and huge UFO sightings in world history.

And it`s from my home country Belgium.
And even better, it is from my town!

This is one of the very best photographs ever taken of a triangular UFO!

This photograph is made in April 1990 during the UFO wave that started on November 29, 1989.

Why is this sighting so special?

The Belgian UFO wave peaked with the events of the night of 30/31 March 1990.
On that night unknown objects were tracked on radar, chased by two Belgian Air Force F-16's, photographed, and were sighted by an estimated 13,500 people on the ground – 2,600 of whom filed written statements describing in detail what they had seen.


Following the incident the Belgian air force released a report detailing the events of that night.

At around 23:00 on 30 March the supervisor for the Control Reporting Center (CRC) at Glons received reports that three unusual lights were seen moving towards Thorembais-Gembloux, which lies to the South-East of Brussels. The lights were reported to be brighter than stars, changing color between red, green and yellow, and appeared to be fixed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle. At this point Glons CRC requested the Wavre gendarmerie send a patrol to confirm the sighting.


Approximately 10 minutes later a second set of lights was sighted moving towards the first triangle. By around 23:30 the Wavre gendarmerie had confirmed the initial sightings and Glons CRC had been able to observe the phenomenon on radar. During this time the second set of lights, after some erratic manoeuvres, had also formed themselves into a smaller triangle. After tracking the targets and after receiving a second radar confirmation from the Traffic Center Control at Semmerzake, Glons CRC gave the order to scramble two F-16 fighters from Beauvechain Air Base shortly before midnight. Throughout this time the phenomenon was still clearly visible from the ground, with witnesses describing the whole formation as maintaining their relative positions while moving slowly across the sky. Witnesses also reported two dimmer lights towards the municipality of Eghezee displaying similar erratic movements to the second set of lights.

Over the next hour the two scrambled F-16s attempted nine separate interceptions of the targets. On three occasions they managed to obtain a radar lock for a few seconds but each time the targets changed position and speed so rapidly that the lock was broken. During the first radar lock, the target accelerated from 240 km/h to over 1,770 km/h while changing altitude from 2,700 m to 1,500 m, then up to 3,350 m before descending to almost ground level – the first descent of more than 900 m taking less than two seconds. Similar manoeuvres were observed during both subsequent radar locks. On no occasion were the F-16 pilots able to make visual contact with the targets and at no point, despite the speeds involved, was there any indication of a sonic boom. Moreover, narrator Robert Stack added in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries, the sudden changes in acceleration and deceleration would have been fatal to one or more human pilots.

During this time, ground witnesses broadly corroborate the information obtained by radar. They described seeing the smaller triangle completely disappear from sight at one point, while the larger triangle moved upwards very rapidly as the F-16s flew past. After 00:30 radar contact became much more sporadic and the final confirmed lock took place at 00:40. This final lock was once again broken by an acceleration from around 160 km/h to 1,120 km/h after which the radar of the F-16s and those at Glons and Semmerzake all lost contact. Following several further unconfirmed contacts the F-16s eventually returned to base shortly after 01:00.


The final details of the sighting were provided by the members of the Wavre gendarmerie who had been sent to confirm the original report. They describe four lights now being arranged in a square formation, all making short jerky movements, before gradually losing their luminosity and disappearing in four separate directions at around 01:30.

Recent sighting

A woman from Wavre called the police because she saw at night three flying sorcerers above her house.
The police went to the house of the woman to check her statement.

The woman state that she was awake by her cat at 1:30 AM.
She saw in the sky a metal object in the shape of a triangle, with three lichts at the endings of the corners.
The objects was at 20 meters above ground. Two other objects circled around before they disappeared.

The police did not find anything extraordinary but contacted the Comité belge pour l'étude des phénomènes spatiaux (COBEPS).

The woman, who said she did not drank or smoked, could not explain the spectacle she witnessed.

Also in Wavre there are huge antennas, used for television, radio and other.
So maybe the aliens are attracted to those antennas.
Wavre is really a HOTSPOT for UFO`s!

What is the truth?

When there is a truth, there are also lies.

One of those lies is the picture that was made in April 1990.


The photo of a triangular object upon which three lights are visible at each corner was taken by Patrick M. Some people claim it is an important UFO picture. Others are more skeptical, claiming that the photograph is a hoax.

For 20 years, the ufological organisation Société Belge d'Etudes des Phénomènes Spatiaux (SOBEPS) claimed that the picture was genuine.
On 26 July 2011, in an interview for RTL, a Belgian TV channel, Patrick M. confessed that it was a hoax.

But what about the truth?

I can`t say it is true.
But I also can`t say it is not true.

I lived in that town Wavre. But during the wave I was living somewhere else and I was only one year old.

But when I moved to Wavre, I saw and heard things I could not explain.

Strange noises at night, Strange objects high in the sky.
We even found body parts of animals laying on the streets, unexplainable.




What can I say more...
                                     ...the truth is out there.

Movie: Reincarnation

Movie review: Reincarnation (Rinne)

In a film that merges stories from past and present, a young actress gets a role in a new film that is based on a series of horrific murders committed in the 1970s.
During pre-production she appears to experience the murders as though they are happening around her, resulting in the discovery of an 8mm camera that she consequently has developed, with terrifying consequences.
A supernatural whodunnit that's handled with real style.





The movie begins when a young actress gets a role in a movie which is a recreation of a horrific murder that happened a number of years earlier, where a father kills his wife and two children and then goes on a rampage killing a number of people in the hotel in which he is staying.
All of which he films home-movie style with an 8mm camera.

The actress begins to experience flashbacks to the murder scene as if she was really there and is haunted by a little girl with a scary little doll.

Before long there are others experiencing the murder-scene flashbacks and they start to investigate the cause in order to understand why it is happening to them and their role in the tragic incident.
All paths lead to the hotel where the horrific murders took place, and eventually the murderous father's motives and spiritual beliefs become clear.

Soon the lines between reality and the afterlife becomes blurred as the dead return to relive the murderous rampage with the new stars of the show in leading roles.
Towards the end it turns into a true Horror movie once the mystery is no longer a mystery.


Reincarnation is an atmospheric and creepy Japanese horror Movie, filled with twists and turns as the mystery unravels.

The storyline is solid, and very original. Aldo it does have a traditional J-horror feel, it will show you things you never saw before.
Well acted plus Camera and Editing is excellent. It is not a low budget movie or high Hollywood budget. But the quality is perfect.


A true must see for all J-horror fans!
